Course Description

This comprehensive Spoken English program is designed to develop learners’ fluency, accuracy, and confidence in spoken communication.

The course covers grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and real-life communication strategies, preparing students to engage effectively in academic, professional, and social settings. Learning is reinforced through interactive sessions, role-plays, discussions, and practical simulations, ensuring real-world application.

  • Everyday vocabulary (family, food, shopping, routines)

  • Basic grammar for speaking (tenses, subject-verb agreement, sentence structures)

  • Common conversational phrases

Outcome: Confidently engage in basic everyday conversations


Module 2: Pronunciation & Fluency Building (12 hrs)

  • English sounds: vowels, consonants, common errors

  • Stress & intonation: natural rhythm of speech

  • Connected speech (linking, weak forms, elision)

  • Fluency drills: tongue twisters, shadowing, reading aloud

  • Minimal pairs practice (ship/sheep, live/leave)

Outcome: Speak with clearer pronunciation and smoother fluency


Module 3: Conversational English & Dialogue Practice (15 hrs)

  • Initiating & ending conversations politely

  • Asking & answering different types of questions

  • Expressing opinions: agreeing/disagreeing politely

  • Making requests & offers (formal/informal)

  • Apologies & expressions of gratitude

  • Role-plays in real-life scenarios: shopping, ordering food, travel, appointments

Module 4: Vocabulary & Idiomatic Expressions (12 hrs)

  • Thematic vocabulary: work, education, hobbies, technology, health

  • Synonyms, antonyms & word nuances

  • Common idioms & phrasal verbs in context

  • Collocations (natural word pairings)

  • Formal vs. informal language styles

Module 5: Public Speaking & Presentation Skills (10 hrs)

  • Structuring short speeches (intro, body, conclusion)

  • Presentation delivery: body language, eye contact, vocal projection

  • Group discussions & debates: presenting arguments, active listening, rebuttals

  • Storytelling techniques for engaging communication

Capstone Project

Each student will prepare and deliver a final presentation or role-play project, integrating grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence-building strategies learned during the course.
